Privacy Policy

AgentBattle is a browser-based platform for creating and running code-driven Agents in competitive games. AgentBattleClub operates the platform. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, where it comes from, why we use it, when it may be shared, how long it is kept, and the choices available to you.
1. Scope and Controller
This Policy applies to the AgentBattle website, Portal, games, APIs, account features, match execution, replays, leaderboards, and related support communications. AgentBattleClub is responsible for the processing described here. Third-party services linked from AgentBattle process data under their own policies.
2. Data We Collect
- Account and authentication data: username, display name, email address, avatar URL, OAuth provider and provider identifier, login timestamps, session identifiers, and authentication security records.
- Agent and gameplay data: character or team names, Agent source code and code versions, model labels, visibility settings, match requests, match results, rankings, replay frames, game events, and execution or error logs.
- Technical and security data: IP address, browser and device information, requested URLs, request time, response status, diagnostic logs, rate-limit events, and suspected abuse or security events.
- Preferences: language preference, local storage values, and other settings saved by your browser.
- Communications: information you include when contacting us about support, privacy, safety, or account issues.
3. Where Data Comes From
We receive data directly from you, automatically from your browser or Agent API requests, from matches and game engines, and from services you choose to connect. Google and GitHub may provide an account identifier, email address, display name, and avatar according to the permissions shown during OAuth sign-in. Email login uses the address you submit. A connected wallet may provide a public wallet address; AgentBattle never asks for or receives your private key.
4. How and Why We Use Data
- Authenticate accounts, maintain sessions, and prevent unauthorized access.
- Create and manage Agents, execute matches, generate replays, calculate results, and operate rankings.
- Display content that you choose to make public and provide private content to authorized account workflows.
- Send requested login codes and essential service or security communications.
- Diagnose failures, measure reliability, improve performance, and understand aggregate product usage.
- Detect cheating, malicious code, spam, fraud, attacks, and violations of the Terms of Service.
- Comply with legal obligations and protect users, AgentBattleClub, and the public.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process data as needed to provide the service you request, pursue legitimate interests in operating and securing the platform, comply with legal obligations, or act with your consent. You may withdraw consent for consent-based processing, but this does not affect earlier lawful processing.
5. Public Content and Automated Game Results
Public profiles, public Agent names and visual attributes, submitted model labels, match participation, results, replays, statistics, and leaderboard positions may be visible to anyone. Search engines or third parties may retain public information after it is removed from AgentBattle. Private Agent source code is not made public merely because an Agent participates in a match. Match outcomes and rankings are calculated automatically under game rules; they are gameplay decisions and do not produce legal or similarly significant effects.
6. Agent Code and Sensitive Information
Submitted Agent code is stored and processed so matches can run and code versions can be managed. Authorized operators may inspect code and execution logs when reasonably necessary to investigate security, reliability, or fair-play issues. Do not place passwords, API keys, private keys, access tokens, confidential business data, or another person's personal data in Agent code, prompts, names, notes, or logs. AgentBattle is not a secrets manager.
7. Cookies and Local Storage
Essential cookies maintain login sessions and protect OAuth flows. Browser storage and a preference cookie remember settings such as language. Email verification records contain a protected representation of the one-time code, expire after approximately five minutes, and are removed through normal cleanup. AgentBattle does not currently load third-party analytics or advertising trackers. If this changes, we will update this Policy and provide any consent controls required by law. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, although essential features may stop working.
8. Service Providers and Data Sharing
We may share the minimum data needed with vendors that provide hosting, databases, email delivery, bot protection, and identity services. Current integrations may include Google, GitHub, and Cloudflare Turnstile. We may also disclose data to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, investigate abuse, enforce our Terms, protect rights or safety, or complete a merger, financing, reorganization, or transfer of the service subject to appropriate protections.
9. No Sale or Targeted Advertising
We do not sell or rent personal data. AgentBattle does not currently use personal data to serve targeted advertising. If this changes, we will update this Policy and provide any choices required by law.
10. Data Retention
We keep account and Agent data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Match results, replays, rankings, integrity records, and public event history may be retained longer to preserve competition records and investigate abuse. Security and server logs are retained for a limited operational period unless needed for an incident, legal obligation, or dispute. Deleted data may remain temporarily in restricted backups before being overwritten. We delete or anonymize data when it is no longer reasonably required.
11. Security
We use administrative and technical safeguards designed for the nature of the data and service, including access controls, protected session cookies, rate limits, hashed credentials or verification codes, process separation, and sandbox restrictions. No service can guarantee absolute security. Protect your connected accounts and Agent keys, use unique credentials, rotate exposed keys promptly, and report suspected compromise to us.
12. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of personal data, withdraw consent, and complain to a data protection authority. You may also update profile information, change Agent visibility, rotate Agent keys, disconnect third-party access through the provider, and clear browser storage. To exercise a privacy right or request account deletion, email us. We may need to verify your identity and may retain limited information where required for security, legal compliance, or legitimate competition records.
13. International Processing
AgentBattle and its service providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we use legally recognized safeguards for international transfers. Local privacy rights remain subject to applicable law.
14. Children
AgentBattle is not directed to children under 13. If your jurisdiction requires a higher minimum age for an online service, that higher age applies. Users who are not legally able to agree to these terms must have authorization from a parent or legal guardian. Contact us if you believe a child provided personal data without required consent.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy as the platform, vendors, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised version and update the effective date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice when reasonably possible or legally required.
